Tailor a CV to a job — with receipts

Pick a CV, pick a job, pick how hard the rewrite should go — then get a result where every change is graded against your real CV.

A1 Jobs tailors your CV to a specific job without inventing anything. The tailoring engine works only from facts already in your CV, and an authenticity check then grades every changed bullet so you can see exactly what is defensible.

Step 1 — Start a session

Open Tailoring in the navigation and create a new session. First Select Your CV — the CV you pick is the source of truth every change will be graded against.

Step 2 — Add the job

Choose Paste Job Description and paste the full JD, or Select from Saved Jobs if you already saved the role.

Step 3 — Choose the tailoring intensity

Three levels control how aggressively the rewrite goes:

  • Light touch — "Keep my wording mostly intact — only swap keywords + fix grammar."
  • Balanced (recommended) — "Rephrase for impact while keeping every claim defensible."
  • Maximum — "Aggressive rewrite for impact and ATS coverage (still bound by your CV's facts)."

The intensity is locked in per session — to try a different level, run a new session against the same CV and job. Options like Focus on skills optimization reorder and emphasise skills your CV already has; no new skills are invented.

Step 4 — Run it

Click Start Tailoring Session and wait for the progress bar to finish. The completed page shows your Tailored CV with three things to do next:

The authenticity chip

Once grading has run, the session header shows Authenticity N/100 — the share of bullets defensible against your original CV. A session that hasn't been graded yet reads "Not yet graded", never a fake zero. The grades behind that number — Grounded, Reframed and Needs review — are explained in the review guide.
