Forward a job by email to auto-tailor

Forward a recruiter's job email to your personal A1 address — a tailored, graded application comes back by email.

You don't have to open the app to tailor. Every account gets a personal forwarding address, shown in the Auto-tailor by email card on the My CVs page. It looks like this:

me-<your-token>@inbound.a1ergo.tech

Use the Copy button next to the address rather than retyping it — the token part is unique to you.

Step 1 — Forward the job email

When a recruiter emails you a role, forward that email to your address. A1 parses the job from the forwarded body and tailors your active CV to it automatically (set the right CV first — see getting started).

Step 2 — Read what comes back

You'll get an email when the tailored result is ready. What it contains depends on the authenticity grading:

  • Graded clean — every graded change came back Grounded or Reframed, nothing flagged. The email includes your tailored CV, the generated cover letter, and a drafted reply so you can forward the application straight on.
  • Anything flagged (or not yet graded) — the email asks you to review first. Open the session, work through the Review & refine screen, then approve.

Step 3 — Approve and send

On the tailoring page, click Approve & prepare to send. That records the application and opens the send screen, where you can create a shareable verified pack or download the files. If the forwarded email included the recruiter's details, the drafted outreach email is already addressed to them.

Privacy notes

  • Nothing is shared with anyone when a forward is processed — sharing is a separate, explicit step that is off by default.
  • The address only tailors your CV for you; treat it like a personal inbox address.
