Getting started: upload your CV

Upload once, get a structured CV you can tailor, check, export and share.

Everything in A1 Jobs starts from a CV you upload. The free plan includes 5 CV tailoring sessions a month and unlimited stored CVs, so you can set this up without paying anything.

Step 1 — Upload a file

Open My CVs in the top navigation and choose Upload CV. The uploader accepts PDF, DOCX and TXT files up to 10 MB. PDF or Word gives the best parsing results.

Step 2 — Let the parser structure it

After upload, your CV is parsed automatically into structured sections — summary, work experience, skills, education and so on. That structure is what makes everything else possible: tailoring grades every change against it, and the recruiter-side evidence features quote its exact lines.

You can open any CV to review the parsed content and edit it. If a section looks wrong, fix it in the editor — the tailoring engine only ever works from what your CV actually says.

Step 3 — Set your active CV

On a CV's page, click Set as active CV. The active CV is your default source of truth — it is the CV that gets tailored automatically when you forward a job email.

Step 4 — Export in any of six formats

Every CV can be exported in six formats: PDF, DOCX, HTML, Markdown, JSON Resume and YAML. Use PDF or DOCX for applications; the structured formats (JSON Resume, YAML, Markdown) are handy for keeping your CV under version control or moving it between tools.
